5.0 Carb in Drag

RE: 5.0 Carb in Drag
250 is far to big for that engine, as a general rule it is very hard to make a motor perform with more than 60% nitrous hp. anything more and it does not burn completly. its all about volumetric efficency. you are taking a 250hp engine and trying to push 250hp of nitrous into it. it wont work, car craft tried that and it wouldnt work. you will be limited to 150-175 tops.
based on the heavy weight of the sn95's (youl be 3500lbs at least in a gutted car) and 375-400 rwhp it may run low 12's. 12.30's-12.40's would be my guess.
that makes it a slow nitrous car. i laugh when i go to the track and i see a late mustang, g body or camaro running slicks, open headers, and spraying it (or supercharging) and running 12's. you can easliy but a stang into the 10's and make it look stock with full exaust and drag radials.

If you want to be able to rev up to 7000 rpm safley rour gonna have to build a block that can support it.. Stronger block, forged crank, Rods,Pistons... you will also need that to run that big a shot of nos... a 150 shot will blow your stock motor to **** after a little bit.

250 shot, 7000 rpms, stock internals, stock heads, stock block? is this someone playing a joke? are you trying to blow the motor? this is ridiculous. I cant take this seriously...
edit: guys, he has a fiberglass hood AND a rear wing. I take back the original comment. im thinkin high 8's. make sure you spray on every shift though.
