RE: aod tranny question
You'll be fine. You just won't be able to go as fast. Use this calculator here to find out exactly what your RPMs will be in 3rd gear in the AOD tranny.

Which one of those is for an AOD? Yesterday I was going going just over 65mph and was sitting at about 2200rpm.

Keep in mind that there are many factors you have to consider. First, the numbers I quoted were for stock tires. If your tires are larger or smaller (in circumference) then the nubers will change. Also, if you have 4.10s then chances are your speed is going to be off anyway. Even if you got a correction gear It's still most likely going to be off. Finally, the stock tach has been known to have issues. Although it's probably accurate enough in your car, it wouldn't matter much because your speedo itself is going to be off due to the gears, the tires, or both.

RE: aod tranny question
By the way..there is no way you could have been going 65 MPH at 2200 RPM in 3rd hear with 4.10s. so something has to be waaaayy off here. Well, not unless you had a tire diameter of 40 inches instead of 26 or so inches.
If you were in Overdrive, then with your tires and gears you would be going pretty damned close to 65 MPH at 2200 RPM though (61 MPH.) That's close enough when you factor in slight errors in reading the tach, the accuracy of the tach, etc. Are you sure your OD bakd is gone?

Okay, so your tire diameter is basically stock...very minor difference but not much. Just plug in the rear tire size along with the 4R70W tranny and the calculator should be right on the money for you.
