Line Lock?

RE: Line Lock?
Well here it goes.....
It locks the front brakes. It's done like this, you push on the brake pedal and press the Button for the line lock which you can mount where ever you like. Then you remove your foot from the brake, but leave your finger on the button for the line lock. Now you can smoke/heat up your tires with out wearing our your rear brakes. You can use it also if on steep hills or what ever really

You can use it that way but it works better with an auto to use all the brakes, not just the front ones. and you can't really locate the line lock anywhere you want to, it has to be near the master cylinder on the firewall so the lines in the installation kit will reach the stock lines they have to hook up to for it to work. For Mustangs, you need to buy the install kit in addition to the line lock since the mustang uses metric brake fittings and the line lock is not metric. The kit comes with 3 different length brakes lines with fittings installed and the adapters to make them metric on the ends to fit the stock lines. Line locks allow you to do great burnouts and it helps a clutch car at the starting line keep from rolling the lites and red lighting. They're a little bit of a pain in the a** to install but well worth the trouble if you race a lot. Plus, they help hold the car on a hill if you have a 5 speed so you don't have trouble pulling off when the light changes.
