My first car was a 200sx. I hated that car and I drove it like I hated it. I ran an 18.2 in that car. If you ran a 12.9 and he kept up with you, it goes to show you that with money you can make anything fast.

If boosted, yes. People make just over 300whp on stock LS engines at 10psi. Add that to a car that weighs almost 1,000 pounds less then a 5.0 and it will win.

But the point people miss is...the majority of the increased weight on a 5.0...is the increase in engine size

Anything can happen, i have a lot of power in my car i roll into the gas about half throttle in 3rd gear and my tires lose traction. So if he has good traction and you dont guess who loses? you. Power helps but hurts sometimes.
