I just got a 1991 LX 5.0 today. It's basicly brand new and only needs new tires. So far i was just gonna go with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.
How good or bad is the tread wear and traction on these tires? It's a daily drive car but i want it to be quick on the streets as well. Any suggestions or should these be great?
Also how wide can i go on the rear tires without them sticking out?

what size rims you have. stock 15's?

tirerack.com has good reviews on tires... also what wheel size, i'm assuming stock 15"?

You running stock intake with that? If 15s, Nitto makes a new 275/50/15 Drag Radial. It won't get near the mileage of a usual tire, but it will get the most of the DR tires.

im thinking about getting 255/60/15 M/T DR's for my turbine wheels, but its just gonna be for the track

As wide as you can. I bea the hell out of my inner fenders and removed the quad shocks to run my 275s.

but how wide are your welds? our rims are only 7 inches wide

Just keep in mind that the 255/60 is over 27" tall. What gears are you running?

ill be getting 373s, but thats the only height i found with a 255 width, i can get a 26" tall mickey if its 275 wide, but has anyone put that on a turbine?
