Default Control Arms

I've skimmed over posts over the months and always read about aftermarket control arms will help out a lot in the traction department. Question is, which control arms control the traction the most? Upper or Lower? You should probably get all four of the same brand, I know...but if a guy could only get two which one would be more benificial? Uppers? Or Lowers?

I would go with the lowers if I couldn't do both the upper and lower at the same time.
