40 wt oil works best with older engines that have opened up bearing clearances wise, most newer engines are using 5w20 now.

Word. I think the only new engine, Ford anyway, that still uses 5w-30, except diesels, is the 4.0 SOHC.

ok thanks a lot guys, and hog we have a trition 5.4 in our truck and it requires 5w-20
