Default what can I expect

going from the engine in my car now, 302HO with TFS1 cam to a 1996 302 with the gt40(not p) heads, gt40 intake manifold, 65mm TB and that same cam, what kind of difference will there be? HP and SOTP

I already have this engine rebuilt and its going in this weekend so I'd rather people not say "you should get AFR's and a TF street heat intake" I know I should, but I have this

thanks guys

you tricky bast@rd[8D], i was gonna say the same thing but blue bit on it... lol

I'd guess closer to 50rwhp gains from the gt40 heads and intake, i dont remeber the inlet dia on the GT40 but i think its 70 for some reason, either way match your TB to the inlet and be sure to have a slightly larger MAF

Good Luck and let us know how the build goes!

Seems like they were rated at 210/280 from the factory, or something like that. Power numbers were down because of the cam. You should definetely free up some power with the TFS. My guess is about 35-45 rwhp more than current.

gasket match everything for a few more ponies..I would shave a few 1000th's off the heads to clean them up and to alow for the thicker/better head gasket. few you don't do any 100 mph+ highway driving you could advance then can 2 more degrees for a hooter bottom end
