Default Smog Pump

Hi,
I am pulling out my Smog pump and would like to know what else related to the Smog pump can go as well. I notice vacuum hoses and stuff on the rear side of the passenger wheel well under the hood. Is this stuff related to the Smog pump?
Thanks.

Let me know how that turns out. I am looking at the bypass air and smog pump online due to the fact that you can keep your orginal supertine belt. I was wondering if the vacuum lines attached to the above items can be removed or must be pluged.

there is a port on the exhaust to be dealt with. cut it off and braze a piece of metal over it. two holes in back of head can be plugged with a big bolt; i think it is 5/8-11. clean the carbon out of the holes as best you can or it will take a while to get the bolts in. you can use the factory belt if you buy the smog pump eliminator kit (an idler pulley). i didn't use the kit at first but decided to so i could use the factory belt.

Thanks for the info.
I saw the exhaust junk to plug but what about the vacuum hoses and wires on the rear side of the passenger fender under the hood? If that stuff is not needed, can I just plug them? But then what about the wires? Thanks.

I was removing mine, and there is a lot of crap involved w/ removing the smog pump in order to do it right, but as far as the belt goes you can just buy a shorter belt for a couple bucks(probably cheaper than an eliminator kit) you can either measure the new length by using a rope and following the belt path and pulling it tight, or just buy the belt for the w/o a/c model.
