BBK doesn't even like the BBK manifold.

Brothers Performance (which is owned and operated by BBK) installed it on there 93 cobra and then replaced it the TF TH it had before, after a dyno run and losing HP.

Your computer will run the car fine everywhere except at idle. I was told by a local Mustang shop that a chip will not improve performance, it will only help drivability issues in an EEC car. I am at that point now with my 331. It runs great as long as you aren't idling.

All this is alot of help, and thank you everyone for the quick responses. I sent an email on that intake, also anyone know the answer to that last question on the durability of the 347 stroker as ive read it may need to be rebuilt sooner as the piston rings and rod pin are so close together. Thanks, Chris

Your really going to need a head with large intake valve and intake port to make that kind of power with a 302. If you got a set of victor jrs or pro topline heads with the 205 valve and the right cam. Your also going to need a bigger intake like the trickflow track heat or holley systemax. Your compression ratio should be 10.5:1 or 11:1. It will be hard to hit those number but it is possible.

New stroker kits are better than past..... granted its not gonna last 150-200,000miles like a stock 302
but I wouldnt worry about getting 60-100k miles out of one if its balanced properly

what you really need to do is find a 351 block as your platform 408 cubic will make it easier and won't be as radical to see 450 hp as a 347

That doesnt sound too bad, after that ill just get a man-o-war block that will supposedly take up to 2,000 hp before cracking. Chris

Ha ha I knew someone out there would like that. Anyway now I have all these additional ideas about what I want to do. Ok so I am wondering, I live in Texas and emissions testing is required here. So is there a cleaner emissions system like the explorer gt40 or something like that that will free up some clutter in and around the engine bay? Also is there any possibility (highly doubtful) of passing the sniffer test with just catalytic convertors? Thanks
