Default Lope out of the stock cam?

Is it possible to get any lope out of the stock cam by lowering the idle? I'd like a little lope and I know my car idles high (900-1000 rpm). If so, how do you lower the idle?

Thanks!

lol, yeah.. you can get that thing to lope, spit, sputter and surge like a race car if it runs rich enough and idles low enough.. It is not something I would recommend though. Do yourself a favor and leave the idle just under a grand. Plug your family for some jegs gift cards during the holidays and get yourself a cam that has the sound, power and idle you desire

Duration is what determines lope, so obviously the higher the duration the more lope it has. But you have to be careful, if its too high you might have vacuum problems at idle, which will result in hard brake pedal at low rpms, because the brake booster is run off of vacuum. Also, if its carbed it might cause it to stall a lot with a poor vacuum signal. Your heater controls might not work right, etc.

Yeah...I was only asking because I remember hearing PRO50SC's exhaust and he said it had the stock cam, it loped like crazy.
