Default Suspension Install q's

Doing mine and my buddies this weekend.
Mine 89 Lx vert
His 91 LX vert.

Strut tower brace
sway bar, strut mount end link bushings, and BBK2508 offset rack bushing
Sub frame connectors.
Struts
Shocks
1.5 progressive rate lowering springs.
Upper and Lower control arms.

So anyone have any tips/tricks on the ins/outs of installing these parts outside what is in the instructions?
Are spring compressors needed?
What's up with torque boxes? Does this need attention?

Thanks again for the info.

dont know about the t boxes someone else will prolly answer that. all the others should be simple. spring compressors are easyer but i dont think needed. just use your senses and be careful if you dont use one, they can fly out of there and hit you.

Do his first so by the time you get to yours, you already made all the mistakes. The front springs are a pain. YOou need a spring compressor that goes in the spring from the middle.

Strut tower brace Easy enough just a few bolts, take your time to adjust so it all fits, then tighten.
sway bar, strut mount end link bushings, and BBK2508 offset rack bushing
Sub frame connectors. Hope you bought weld in ones, be sure metal is clean and smooth before welding and dont weld them on the ground on your back!
Struts relax the axles from the chasis and unbolt and replace with new.
Shocks same ^
1.5 progressive rate lowering springs. You'll need a spring compressor(autozone for $40) put the front on jack stand, and place jack under control arms and while the jack is raised compres the springs, and then slowly lower the jack and the springs will come out.
Upper and Lower control arms. Have the rear axle on a jack and use the jack to posistion the control arms and you'll prolly need a hammer to pound them into the brackets.
Good Luck! Get an alignment and adjust caster/camber asap when done!!!

Couple of tips, get some silicone lubricant, and grease the bushings before reassembly. Sil-glyde is a good one, but any non-spray silicone lube will do. ****VERY IMPORTANT**** - on the upper and lower control arms, you MUST set the vehicle on its weight before tighetening the screws. Also, torque them.

I made some blocks for the car to set on. I took 24" 2x6's and stacked/screwed 6 on them together. I then raised the car and set these blocks under the tires this way I can have the car in the air and not have any stands in the way. Would this method be sufficient for having the car on it's own weight?

Thanks again for the input
