RE: trying to prove to a friend
I bought my stang with front end damage from a wreck... the previous owner rear ended a Volvo at 40 mph and compltly totaled it, but there is only some front bumper damage and a slightly bent 1/4 panel on mine. They arent indestructable but they sure are tough [sm=icon_cheers.gif]

RE: trying to prove to a friend
My old 93 got hit at 60, head on by a civic. The frame was bent an inch, hood very slightly bent, headlights broken, bumper craked. Civic: Guy got choppered to the hospital, frame bent more than 4 inches, tranny and engine pushed back 3 or 4 inches into his car. My stang was parked with e-brake on (i wasnt inside it). They are tough compared to a lot of other cars. It was still totaled though

RE: trying to prove to a friend
they ARE strong cars but they break easily
i know that dosnt really make sense but they arent built TOO cheaply
theres alot of "heavy duty" used on the 5.0 mustangs but any crash higher than 40mph and you're looking at serious vehicle/bodily damage
