Stock T5 Breaks @

Yea 300ish torque rating, that means torque to the ground and the car not moving, as in launching with sticky tires.
As long as your run street tires you likely won't put enough torque to the ground to "break" something, but missing shifts etc. will destroy it fast. I can tell you with the power your makin, especially with the juice, add sticky tires and you won't last long.

Its strong enough to handle what Ford expected it to take. More power + sh*tty driver's = BOOM
A good driver (good shifter I mean) + no slicks = a healthy T5. Transmission damage is more often caused by the driver than the power.
When you start powershifting and missing shifts and you've got twice the torque as a stock 5.0 then bad things are gonna happen

Well, I shouldnt miss shifts anymore.
I'm getting a whole new clutch setup, and I wont have to push the pedal against the carpet to fully disengage the clutch.
So, getting upper/lower control arms is a bad idea for me then?
And I don't think I'll get sticky tires for a while then also

I think the control arms aren't gonna hurt you, their gonna do more for eliminating wheelhop than anything else. But yea, if I wasn't prepared to have the $$ for replacing or beefing up the stock T5 then definately keep sticky tires off the rear.

Yeah, don't have the cash to shell out for a new tranny just yet.
And I guess I should keep the tires I have on there now instead of trying to fit something wider
What could I do to beef up the current T5 tho?
Or what tranny could I buy that my shifter and whole clutch setup/flywheel strap to so I dont have to get a new ones?

You could get a world class rebuild kit - Im thinking their under $300 bucks and although I've never rebuild a transmission - I've heard its not tool-intensive to do a T5 - and of course if you can follow along a repair manual you can likely rebuild it yourself. Me, honestly I would rape the hell outta it and fix it if / when it breaks.
