Nah, that law has been around for a long time. It's Maine Title 29-A Section 1917. If you go larger or smaller than OEM, then they will fail you. Unless you're lucky enough to find some kid that just doesn't care and only looks at the major stuff.

my car is manual and i hit 130 with the top down no bs......scary fast i was in 5th gear i forget the rpm's ran out of road not pedal.....i think my dad removed the limiter...

my car is a aod with 3.73 and it will hit 140 with no problem , but my 5 speed 5.0 stops at about 120 and it has 2.73, odd

its off by 10, had a guy ride behind me to make sure , with my cam and intake set up my cars power really dont come in till 65
