OK, im the new owner of a 94 5.0 saleen clone. It used to have a Supercharger on it, but the guy said he took it off and put it on another mustang of his. It still has the aeromotive fuel rail and fpr., stainless braided fuel lines, NOS fuel pressure gauge, MSD ignition and timing retard, MSD Coil cap and rotor, Has all powerdyne accessories, crank, pulley, power pipe from the kit minus the charger,

Anyways, the car has 156K miles on it, had a new tranny recently put in, and i was curious if i should get another charger and put it on, or should i go with a turbo?? or just leave it be?? This is my daily right now, i dont want to compromise the life of the engine just yet, so is it worth it??? And whats the best products out thier for this mod??? Thanks

If you don't run too much boost a charger won't hurt the life to much. If you run a lot of boost then you run that risk.

TURBO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love them things. ANyway, if you want the MOST reliability and longevity leave it alone. Once you start moddin, especially with forced induction things are gonna break. Not necessarily the motor, more like drivetrain components. Ive gone through 10 T-5's (the 5 spd trans) in this car alone. I think Ive gone through a total of around 18. They dont take high HP and hard driving very well. Other than that TURBO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well if ur gonna do anything go with turbo...but i wouldnt suggest it on a motor with that many miles. unless u wanna rebuild it and freshen it up. or u could probably get away with 5 or 6 lbs of boost. but not much gains with that little

It's already been boosted so how can you compromise it anymore by replacing the supercharger? I'll bet it's already been run hard because lets face it, you don't build a car like that to putt around in.

Car has a bit high milage but if the motor is in good shape and well taken care of then add some boost just don't go all off on it. Take it to get get tuned and it should be running nice. Not sure on your budget but if you got the cash by the Turbo kit and rebuild the motor. Nice looking car by the way.
