Default Revival of the engine

5.0 with 110,000 miles. It has been well taken care of. I want to boost it, and was thinking why not throw in forged pistons and rods.

Is this worth doing without doing a crankshaft swap? What is usually done when someone says "forged internals"? I don't want to boost her then leave pieces of rods all over the road...

Default RE: Revival of the engine

I understand that if you dont boost too much you should be ok.... but if youre going into your engine that far, why not just do it all or get a crate engine?
