x or h pipe

RE: x or h pipe
In my experiences yes there's a substantial tone difference. I ran Mac shorties and h-pipe and the exhaust note was powerful and pleasing at idle and would sing with some gas. I swapped to the x-pipe to try something new and can say the pipes roar under throttle but have toned down the idel decibles just a little. Basically, run what you can afford cause no two h or x pipes are the same. Best place to make a decision is go to a car show and listen to the exhausts that everyones running then decided what you like.

Hey what mods do you have on your car overall? I have a friend with a trans am, he ran a 8.6 as his best. I just got a 91 5.0 with a cam, GT40 heads and intake manifold, 3.73 gears, hurst short throw, headers, h-pipe, magnaflows. And i want some UDP's sometime soon. I ran an 8.9 on rock hard tires. I spun thru 1st and 2nd hardcore. If i hook up what you think i'll run? I saw that you ran an 8.1. Thats badass man. Oh and your car sounds great. I heard that clip.
