An hour wow! let me guess you tried to install it with a whistle and a stick????

it will take you about 15min to install, no springs, no crap, just one shifter four bolts and two adjustment bolts.

I just installed my hurst not too long ago and it was cake. It was my first real mod on my 86 GT and it took me like twenty minutes tops. That was taking my time reading the directions step by step.

I try to use directions with things I tinker with. I have had way too much bad luck not using them. I always seem to forget that one little thing. If you can get some directions, it wouldn't hurt at all. post up what type of shifter you got and I bet that somebody on here could help you step by step.
