If i bump the timing to 14* do I have to use permium gas 92 or can I still use 87 gas?

You'll need to use premium or you'll knock

hell you should always use premium, it just runs better i think... and my cars mostly stock, and i notice a little bit of a gain off premium... thats just my opinion though

Uh...I have mine at 13 and run 87, doesn't knock at all. I'm sure 1 degree wouldn't do anything either. When gas is 1.94 a gallon, you sort of have to.

no you shouldn't. use what the manufacturer says. octane does not equal performance. octane allows more performance.

what u want to do is set it at like 12 degrees, take it out for a full throttle test, cpme back and bump it up another degree, take it back on the road, keep doing this until u hear any knocking or pinging, when u do retard the timing 1 degree or maybe 2 to be really safe, hope this helps
