Default Im thinking of doing a budget build up.

Well right now my mustang is pretty close to stock, only mods performance wise is 4:10's in the rear, a short-throw shifter and some mac mufflers. Id like to have my car putting around 300 to the wheels, also I live in maryland so emissions would be a problem so what would you guys recommend? Heads cam intake? If so which ones, or should I go under pressure if so how much boost could a stock 5.0 hold, super charger or turbo. Speak to me guys.

Yeah, but I don't care for the stock motor sound. I want it to not have a huge lump but i want it to be a lil bit lumpy and loud.

HCI and sauce it! Well over 300 rwhp. I'd go with a Edelbrock/AFR165/FTI setup personally.

Well if you have emission laws you have to comply with, you should probably get some advice on how far you can go from someone thats in the same situation... cams give you that lopy sound i think you are referring to, but i would think that might have some emission issues... [:-]

I don't want anything radical.

I think a new thread titled "how can i make 300 hp and still pass emissions" would be good... 4fit? may have a point... i dont like nitrous, but that shouldnt effect emission tests an would give you added hp... i dunno...
