Is the independent rear suspension on the 01 cobras better than the solid axles on the 5.0s?

Please state reasons as to why or why not.

Thanks

they break and wheel hop to the max and cannot hold power for long periods of times. It was a one and done idea from ford and they went back to solid axle. But the new 08-10 mustangs might have it in them though from what i read in a article aboot it

If you only go in a straight line, then stick with the solid axle.

IRS can do much better in AutoX type performance if tuned properly

What causes the wheel hop?

Is there any way to eliminate or reduce the wheel hop?

Why are you guys hating on the IRS? It's freaken awesome. They are made for roadracing, and can hold up to a lot of power for drag racing. I would love one.
