you altenator will burn out from exesive use like from sound systems and crap and yea it would burn out from recharging the battery all the way like that, but a batter holds a charge if it didnt then you wouldnt be able to start your car, b/c the battery would be dead, a batter wont hold a charge tho after you drain it completely. you altenator is bassically a little power generator, it take mechanical energy convert its to electrical energy wich is then used to power your car and to restore the power taken from your batter to start the car
Very well said.

and u/d pulleys will also cause your altenator to burn out and drain your battery, b/c the altenator wont be spining the speed it was designed to spin in order to produce the power for your car, so then the power from your battery is used to power your accesories buts that usually only at idle. altenator are designed to spin a minmum speed with u/d pulleys your are pushing that minmun at idle

i wanted to also say that the u/d pulley problem is mostly found on the foxes and can be fixed with an aftermarket performance altenator

94/95 mustangs will not be affected in anyway with them.

not true at all. My car does not charge at idle.
yeah not true. my volts drop very low at ilde. doesn't effect anything for me, but i'm willing to bet if you have an nice audio system in your car you will have problems

So when your battery is completly drained, you just jump and and let your alt. charge the battery? And people wonder why their alternators go out.
Wow, how often do you cycle your battery like that? I personally try not let my battery die.

In answer to your question though, yes I would. I'd jump it and go if I needed to. If it dies at home I'll toss it on the charger if I can. You don't want to run your alternator at full load all the time, but it's probably not going to burn up after just once. We drained the snot of our batteries when we used the winches 4wheeling and alternators were never a real problem any more than with non-winch rigs. Batteries were a whole other story though.

Big stereos can cause a fairly constant high current drain on the charging system and will burn up an alternator more quickly especially if your underhood temps run high. Heat = Death

my 200 A alt cost me 300 + bux. I bought it only cause mine went out from the underdrive pulley and stereo. It's not worth the money of having to buy a 200a alt just to get 5hp max. If you're in a fox car, u/drives will fry the alt in no time. If you're in an sn95 the 130 will fry too, but it might last a little longer than the fox alts.
