Default True Air/Fuel Readout?

An interesting little gadget I see here on the summit website is the air/fuel mixture gauge. Says the gauge uses your existing oxygen sensor to relay information to the gauge, my question is if the sensor is f--ked up wont the readout not be TRUE air/fuel mixture? But altered due to the f--kedupness of the sensor? Shouldnt there be a different sensor for the gauge to output true readout? [&:]

maybe, put if the sensor went bad, wouldnt performace begin to go and maybe even the check engine light come on so that you knew something went wrong.

if your so worried, just get a new o2 sensor when you get the gauge
