aight, this is funny or dumb, according to how you look at it.
I was trying to set the voltage withour removing the IAC. I was using a screwdriver to hold up on it while trying to tighten the screws and I busted a hole in it. Noe it reads 000 on the measurement. I know, I know...I'll take the iac off this time around.

Keep in mind that as long as the tps is between ~.7v to 1.1v at idle, the computer doesn't care. Setting to the often recommended .998v is a myth. It makes NO difference to the computer, as long as the voltage is within range.

RE: Question about TPS.
How do you get to the screws on the tps wthout moving the iac? I've tried everything to get to them. Theyre right up behind the iac motor. I always checked mine with the key on. Everytime I tighten the screws it changes. So im just gonna get it into range and leave it alone this time. But ive fried the one on the car now so i definetly need a new one.

I am used to working on a Fox Body.
Let us know how it works out.

how you checking voltage when running?...just curious

You mean unplugging the IAC? You don't need to physically remove the IAC to check the tps.

I dont think so. I know the bad sensor is killing my bottom end badly. I mean, you can feel it bog out every time I shift. I hope its the only thing worng. Sounds like it though, right? It will barely run when cold and will die if I dont give it gas. It like to hop around alot when im just cruising.
