How much HP can the stock 28 spline axles handle.I was considering upgrading to 31 spline while I'm installing gears,but don't know if it's worth the extra $$$$.Right now I'm basically stock,but hope to get to 300 HP plus a 100-150 shot.This car will rarely see track time and probably won't ever have slicks on it.Just wanting to hear some opinions.

I would, You can get a set of Strange 31 spline axles with c clip eliminators for $374.00 from Jegs.

I would go Moser, but I am biast......

With either the Strang or Moser axles if you get a 'C-Clip' eliminator get ready for a labor as there is some welding/grinding thats need on the housing itself to make things work.
i'd check but I think you can run as quick as 10.99 in NHRA before you really need the 'C-Clip' eliminator thing.......

if you'll stay on cheaters, and no full slicks w/ 5k launches......stockers are fine....all day long....save your money
