Default Why is it impossible to find parts?

It seems like none of the junkyards around here having anything I might need for my car. Most I call for parts say they dont have any Mustangs and the few that Ive been to only have really beat up 2.3 Mustangs that having nothing I need. Ive only seen two GT's and one was an '89 that was all spray painted black inside and out and the other was an '86 that was pretty beat and repainted at some point.

I really want to find an armrest for the center console right now because I hate the arm rest delete panel. The ones I did find in the junkyard were either the wrong color or were busted.

These cars are too old to still be in junkyards, those guys crush it if it's not gone in 3 months.

www.50resto.com

or

junkyard that specializes in Mustangs but can be expensive on some stuff.

New reproduction parts for the interior are way out of my budget. Ive looked at 50resto and Yearone.

That junkyard link has a console but $100 is a bit steep considering theres probably more important stuff I need to take care of first.

dude, i feel your pain.. i spent all day calling and driving around my state for like 5 hours to find a transmission crossmember for my car.. i am replacing the clutch and one side of the crossmember were the bushing is fell apart. just the busing area was rusted.. 20 junk yards later and a tank and a half of gas in my buddies truck and i just ended up ordering one from summit for 67 bucks... junk yards suck for mustangs.. neer see many of them in there around here.

Look in the classifides on this site and on:

Allfordmustangs.com
corral.net/forums

You might have some luck, look for people parting out their interior

good luck
