Are '84 GT's with t-tops really that rare?

Are '84 GT's with t-tops really that rare?
I'm going to look at one saturday. Don't really need another project but the price is right and I seem to remember reading in a magazine recently that those cars are starting to come into demand. Something about Ford only making 1200 or so that year. I need to do some more research....

You don't see them to often but I wouldn't call them rare. A guy I work with has an 87 coupe w/ t tops. I've never seen one like it before and its factory. Its just too bad the roof, floor, and quarters are rusted out on it.
