460 swap questions
 

ok guys, i have an idea. i have a built 466 thats making about 425hp right now. its currently in my jet boat, but im tired of that project. a friend of mine gave me a 92 fox with a 4 banger. will all the swap stuff for a 5.0 to 460 work? the 2.3 cars have a 7.5 rear end right? now before you guys go saying i should just build a 351w or something, its not gonna happen, since i already have this engine.

it is possible. i looked into it before but dont remember where. i know someone out there makes conversion products for it. never seen one myself, but think it is trick.

yes the swap stuff will work with a 2.3l car. and yes you will need a new rear end before long, lol.

thanks guys! another thing though, C4 or C6? im thinking C4 cause its smaller and lighter. this is going to be an all out drag car eventually. the car is actually in good shape other than it has no interior at all. kind of a long story but it was stolen, thieves poured battery acid all over interior so its been gutted and no one ever bothered to put it back together.

you should do a rebuild on that 466, if its only makin 425 that aint very much and with that heavy of a motor, your gonna want some more power, but thats just my opinion

exactly, that motor sounds like a dog, ill b makin 475 at the crank out of a 347 and you have more than 100 inches on me, thats pretty bad

well he didn't list any mods, so it could be pretty close to a stock block.
