Welds are not good for very high speed cornering even with a wider tire (like auto cross). These rims can be drivin daily and are just fine at high way speeds though. The reason they are not good for very high speed cornering is because they are not laterally stiff. Also watch out for pot holes, Welds are pretty soft and will bend pretty easy if ypu hit a big pot hole hard.

Very good info guys,Thanks! I'm still having a hard time deciding about weld draglites or just keep my pony wheels. It's just those damn weld draglites look sick on fox bodies, I love it! But I'm worried about driving them on the freeway. But if you guys say it's cool, then i'll take your word for it!

I noticed that summit is making a knock off version of the weld wheels. You can get the draglites and the star type wheels in 4 lug. Does anybody know if these are any good. Is the summit racing brand usually of good quality. Just thought of them as an option.
