Default Exhaust system help

I live in California and I am going to be buying a 1993 mustang 5.0 LX in the near future. It will be coming with a quiet exhaust system. It has 3 chamber flowmasters on it, and i would like to change them out. I have heard that Flowmasters are cheaply made and i also heard that they can also decrease the horsepower instead of increasing it. Does anybody have any suggestions on a louder system that increases the horsepower and is smog legal in California??

magnaflow will increase power, but i have dynomax and an o/r h-pipe (not street legal) and it sounds badass.

lol flows will increase power in most cases, unless your running a turbo. Also mufflers have nothing to do with emissions. and your screwed on anythign you put on your car because you live in cali

I like my flows...The price was right and I think the quality is great. I think the 2 cambers would go nice with your H pipe.
