thanks bernie.....i was thinking about the timing issue,and this truck fires up to easy for that...bump it and it starts..

Not saying that's the problem, but I had an 82 Capri 5.0 w/ a 2 barrel carb and that thing used to go thru them like no other. Good luck man.

well i'd rather spend the 20 bucks rebuild it than mess with the timing chain right now...

have you checked fuel pressure? I had the same problem and it ended up being a bad fpr.

this is a big ol 400 carbed boat anchor...it has yet happened to me but the ol'lady said it came up the carb before..

one more thing to add..i floored it one time and it about put me in the windsheild from the jerk it did to me.

well i thought i'd add this also...last night and this morning...while the motor was cold i went through the gears to 100 and it didn't do it at all,but as soon as it got to temp it was there..
