How long will the engine last?

How long will the engine last?
Ok Im new here and I have a few ( probably noobish ) questions for you guys. Im looking at a 90 5.0 5spd LX that is bone stock, and it has 160,000 on the engine. Now providing the engine has been taken care for most of its life about how much longer will the engine last?
Now Im probably going to just do bolt ons for a while till I can afford to rebuild the engine and drop a Vortech setup on it, but will minor bolt ons be to much for the engine at 160,000?
Also are there any problem areas that I should look out for when Im looking to buy a Fox body?
Thanks in advance

Awesome, another member with the same name as someone else.
I can't really give you an exact number but I know there are a few members on here that have got over 200,000 miles out of their 5.0s.

Well thats what I wanted to hear, I just didnt wanna get it and have to pull the engine for a rebuild in like 5,000 miles. Seems to run real well no knocks or anything so hopefully it will last a bit so I can slowly build another block up to my liking.
Also another question. Im gonna run a compression check on it befor I buy it. What kinda numbers should I be looking for?

RE: How long will the engine last?
There are TONS of people on here running 200,000+ miles. Some blow at 180,000 some blow at 280,000. It all depends on how you drive it and how its been driven.
Also, look for usually rust areas... especially where the spare tire goes, etc. Do a carfax report if you have the cash... they are definetly helpful and reassuring.
