I really like Trickflow as that's what I'm planning to get, although I'm going with the street heat for the time being as I don't want my idel to be around 1500 rpms which is what I believe the Track Heat requires, correct me if I'm wrong on this though. Edlebrock is good, but a few private dyno test have showed they're one of the worst as far as hp gains go, but only by like 2 or 3 hp, so it's not that much. Now Holley makes a damn good system, but be prepaired to pay out the *** for it.
mine idles around 800 same as stock :-) no problems there.

1500-6500 is the rpm range in which it produces the most flow/power, it won't affect your idle. You should still go w/ the Street heat unless you get a cam that has the same rpm range and better flowing heads.

The two best Upper and lower intakes in my opinion is the trick flow intake and there is an intake called the efi spyder intake. it's from coastal high performance.com it comes with monster fuel rails and when it was dynoed against other intakes it came out with the most horses. It's also average on expence. about 500 dollars. but it's amazing.
