Default 86 5.0

Hey, I'm looking at buying an 86 5.0lx. I am new to the 5.0, I currently have a 95 sixer....which is great, but its no v8. What I want to know is what should I look for when I go to look at this car, like is there anything special thats commonly wrong with them, or what. Like I am trying to figure out if there is special things to look for either than the usual things like the floor and other things. The car was originally a 4 banger, but had the 302 swapped into it. So any help here would be greatly appreciated so that I don't buy something that just rapes my wallet of money because of constant problems.

Thanks

Your better off just buying an original 5.0 than 1 that was a 4 cyclinder conversion.
The 5.0's are relatively cheap now.
You could get a good 1 for 4k to 5k

curious.. hows it better off??? not raggin..just curious, because really, the 4cyl bodys are generally not twised from the 5.0 torque like most, and if swapped he likely picked a non rotted out mustang, and they even have softer srpings for more traction if you really wanna get into it...

I would 2nd that question of why he's better off. I have been looking for a good 87-93 4 cylinder car to swap my 86 5.0 HO into. The 4 cylinder cars are usually in a lot better shape...

I would look at the wiring make sure it wanst hacked to hell. check around hingles if its a hatchback for the body cracking from toruqe. Do a check for leaks some out of the exhuast, also check if the rear is upgraded their nothing worng with a 4 banger convertied into a V8 just look it over good
