Anyone know of a place in wisconsin that tunes the eec? Might go as far as chicago! Need a tune and chip to settle this cam down at slow speeds, sick of the bucking and stumbling...

How far are you from Minneapolis? There is a place in Anoka which is a suburb. Its called Hitech Motorsport. You get 3hrs dyno time and a custom burned chip for $500 and they guarentee 20+ hp. Check them out at http://www.hitechmotorsport.com/

That is a little far, about 350 miles. Sounds like a deal though, if I can't find anything closer I'll have to give them a call. Thanks..

Are you willing to tune the car yourself?

Sure, I see you are a tweecer guy. How much time would I have to devote to tuning with one? I was thinking of getting or building a megasquirt but I just don't have the time.
Wife, kids, socker, boy scouts, cheerleading, home work, work work,mustang... to mention a few, man where does a guy find teh time?? lol
Also, would I have to by a wideband o2 also? Doesn't seem like the tuners are much good with out one?
Thanks

I take it one of the kids is cheerleading, Not you?

I had a week between when I ordered the tweecer and when it arrived. In that time I had gained a pretty good grasp of what I needed to do.
When you start getting into trouble shooting surging, lean tip-in, and decel fuel shutoff it gets more complicated. But you just take things one step at a time, like anything else.
Within a month I had things sorted out pretty well.

You would need a wb O2 for tuning wot. I have yet to pick one up, but I have been able to clean up idle and part throttle pretty nice.

There is definately a learning curve. The curve for the tweecer may be tougher than other tuners, but for a datalogging setup you can't beat the price. I think even the new Moates gear is more expensive?

It just takes time to learn.
