AFR by a long shot!

If the motor is stock, the 165's would be best. If you have a bigger cam, intake, exhaust and gears, generally speaking the 185's would work better. This is of course in deference to vehicle weight, what gears your running, the cam specs, etc.

I guess I really need to know what is already done to your car...

its not a cut and dry comparison, what motor, what compression, what cam specs, what intake? etc.... what are you looking to put either of these onto? a 95 stock 302 or a 347dart block w/. forged internals, girdle, s/c and 100 shot?

AFR 165's.... dont expect monster gains unless you do a complete h/c/i swap and upgrade MAF and TB, and have a free flow exhaust to keep intake vs. outgas proportionate.... you'll also want a CAI or remove the stock air box and install k&n filter. i'd put subframe connectors on your future modlist as well

I plan on getting a gt40 intake manifold, e303 cam, forged aluminum cylinders, 70mm throttle body, 75mm maf, ram air and maybe a chip for the computer because i heard the sn95 5.0 computer does not like mods, i already have a o/r h pipe and flowmasters and plan on getting bbk shorty headers.

gt40 intake manifold you'll be better with a aftermarket intake like edelbrock performer, trickflow street heat, or such...
e303 cam alphabetical cams are outdated but an improvement over stock, for AFR's you'll want a custom ground cam
forged aluminum cylinders pistons/internals your talking about right?... i'm assuming?
70mm throttle body, 75mm maf, good combo, match the TB to the intake inlet
bbk shorty headers good brand equal length shorties ceramic coated will be best 1 5/8"

There is no comparison between the two, AFR makes a MUCH better head, but cost more.

AFR 165's would be great on your car
