Default underdrive pulleys

ok, i want to get underdrive pullies for my 87 gt. my questions are

what brand is good to go with?

will i need a different sized belt?

is this ok for a daily driver?

what kind of hp gains can i expect, and will i notice a difference?

You won't need a different size belt as long as you have all the usual stuff on it (smog pump, pwr steering, ect)

I got motosport on mine, never heard any real difference between the brands, with the exception of various sizes...

It's ok for a daily driver... You will feel a little more pep but nothing to write home about...

Any brand should be good (since it is just machined metal)

A smaller belt will work but I think as long as your tensioner still has tension you should be ok

Daily driver? Yes if you do a lot of Highway driving. If you do a lot of city then charging your batt could have issues...unless you have a higher amp alt.

They claim up to 15hp but I think you will get around 7. Not a in your pants feel but your engine should rev quicker and you should get a little gain.

I heard that the Foxbody cars have problems with the charging system when putting these pulleys on. I'm not a 100% because I have a 95......Just a thought make sure.......

i'd go for steel cause i've heard aluminum wears out quicker... also for a dd in the city might not be good. tends to overheats sometimes because it slows down the accesories.

no real gain... i plan on doing a bunch at a time like remove somg and ac and add u/d pullies which will result in a bigger difference but like said up there ^^^ nothing to write home for

thats due to the super small 75amp stock alt we have....that barely charges the car with normal pullies when idling at night....LOL
