Well, she's in...............

still having a bunch of little fitment issues here and there, but nothing major
think even the 2.5" hood I got is going to hit[:@]

yeap. i got a 408w with carb super victor intake i cant even run an air cleaner , buts its a strip car i got a 3in cowl hood btw, the F/I is taller then my super victor intake i suppose, i'll post some pics of my hood and motor brb.

She is lookin really good. Would there be a major power increase from swapping in a 351 over the stock 302 or does the 351 need some go fast parts before you really know the difference.

yeah stock 351W makes about 260hp ....... this one should be closer to 450hp with nothing but better heads and cam ect....

Dude, I put a 358 into a coupe with a Perfromer RPM carb intake, a Holley 3310 and a 3 inch air cleaner and it still hit a 3" cowl induction hood without a carb spacer...point being, the FI intake is even taller!

Probably need a set of drop motor mounts or a 3.5" or 4" cowl hood...

Just my experience...

Would that extra power make up for the extra weight involved with doing the swap. From what I hear they weigh about 90 extra pounds. I would like to this swap one day but I just can't swallow 1,500 for a stock motor then another 2,000 in heads cam and intake. College better make me money later because it is breaking me now.
