MINI-TUB????

Even using a kit, the time spent cutting up the car and then making jigs to make sure everything is square, then prep time for all the tubes......this kind of thing takes time to do right. Anyone willing to do this for $1000 is either crazy or will not do that good of a job. Double the cost if using Chromoly tubing as well. For referance, a friend of mine is having a 7.50 cert back half/cage job being done on his 67 Camaro, full chromoly, it is going to cost $25,000 for all the chassis work and the work is being done over a 6-8 month period.

I concur.
I've 'mini-tubbed 'and full tubbed a group of cars (10-12) in my life and I don't think a $1000 would be enough for me to do another one.
You are not only paying for materials (not that much) but for the time spent learning metal fab as well as the tools for doing it.....

RE: MINI-TUB????
well the guy who just shouted out a number of at least a 1000 for labor is a big time drag racer here, he is cheap on his labor but great on the quality, I watched him do a mini tub on his own notch and man did it look hard!
