Default Stock headers' capability

Within the next few months I'm going to slap on the Trick Flow Street Heat kit. I was wondering if the stock headers are up to the job for atleast a little while. I'm going to get longtubes eventually, but my main question is, should I get the longtubes before I put the TF kit on? Or go ahead with the kit and worry about the longies later. Also, when I do get the longtubes, would I need a completely new mid-pipe or could they cut up my existing one on installation? I have a BBK O/R X pipe right now and I'd hate to buy a new set again.

You have to take them off anyway, might as well get better ones while you're at it if you're going to drop a ton of cash.

u will need a new mid pipe to keep the sensors and fittings in stock places with the LT's

IMO i would just get some shortie or equal lengths

long tubes will just cause unneeded problems.. they scrape and require lifting the engine.. ive heard of modifying the k-member and other stuff too.. just go the easy route

You have to unbolt those stock headers anyways to get the heads off. Why waste the gasket?
