88stang, how much are roller 302's^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

What do you mean? Its a stock 5.0 block, crank, rods with Probe Forged pistons.

I guess your talking about the stock block, the roller 302 motors are from 1985+ I picked this 1993 short block up out of the paper for $60, it had about 90,000miles on it and i rebuilt the bottom end on it.

It is a stock 302. Basically, besides being bored 0.030 over and having Probe pistons, its a stock bottom end, with all ARP hardware. Im guessing your talking about better than the old, flat tappet hydraulic blocks, no, the only thing better about them is the wear and tear i guess, a roller motor has less wear and tear...a little less friction to, but it only free's up like maybe 2-6hp over a regular flat hydraulic block. The 308 motor i got the bottom end together on is a 69' block with the flat tappet hydraulic cam in it, its an Isky cam, .517/.517 236/236. This is the engine im putting the turbo on.

so if it's bored 0.030 over wouldn't it be a 306 right???? and it's still called a roller 302

you definatly need some traction, you have a 2.9 60'.

And get rid of that automatic and do a T5 conversion, that right there should net you probably .5 tenths if you learn to drive it hard.
