some wierd sound coming from the passenger side??

when i have the passenger side window down and im moving ...and i push the gas down then let off a little bit, (when i drive close to the curb or something that can make the sounds my car makes echo back to me)......i can hear some whisling sound.....i dont know how to explain it .....at first i thought it was an exhaust leak..but wouldnt it be making the sound while idling or standing still and revving up...if it were ?

If it only happens when the car is moving then Id suspect the trans. Does the sound go away when you accelerate? Decelerate? In neutral (while moving)? Need a little bit more info. I get a howl from my trans in my ranger (5.0,AOD) but it goes away under heavy load (hard accel).

Do you have a cold air intake?
If so, thats where the whistle comes from. I actually thought mine had a bad wheel bearing and replaced the wheel bearings on the passenger side and still heard the noise. Then a guy I know with a Mustang went for a ride in mine and told me it was the CAI.
