slow 5 oh!

ok i just got my tfs twisted wedge heads,im using the tfs stage 1 cam now i was planning on buying 1.7 rockers 2 get a little more lift on it would there be a problem with that like piston 2 valve clearance,would i need bigger push rods,lifters,etc what do i need 2 finish this motor u thank

If the bottom end (including the pistons) is stock, then you are going to have some problems... The twisted Wedge heads have 2.02 intake and 1.60 exhaust valves. That cam if I am correct is like .498 intake lift and .510 exhaust lift with a 1.6 rocker. So if you use that cam with a 1.7 rocker, you are looking at like .529 intake and .542 exhaust lift. It will not work with stock pistons. You will have to do a rebuild with dished pistons, or get yours flycut for more clearance.... if they are stock though, I really wouldn't recommend cutting on them. I just picked up a motor with these heads, but I am using 1.6 rockers, with an x cam which makes .542 lift. I have DSS pro dished pistons to make it work, and they have been cut a little more just to be safe. Good luck on however you go with this.
