Default Cold Air Intake

I have a stock 92 hatch and am looking for a cai kit. What do you guys have and how do you like them?
Does it really make a difference to get the whole kit with the chrome intake tube or can i just get a filter from k&n
and put it on there?

more of a show then go item... if you want one go to ebay and buy the cheapest one you can find.. the gain will be about the same as a "name" kit

I dunno, i hear that they make about 50hp on civics... But seriously, you could just buy a cheap ebay one for the same gains as a BBK one. I hear that MAC makes sh!tty ones, so id stay away from theirs. I have a BBK, and i like it, but i probly couldda saved 100$ and gone ebay.

I've had a horrible experience with Ebay cold air intakes. I outted my self 50 bucks when it was all said and done and I ended up sticking the re-chargable conical air filter that came with it on my girlfriends Ranger. I ended up getting a MAC and I have had no problems. It fits great and looks great. I'm sure that it helped add horsepower when I installed my Trick Flow street heat intake manifold (I added the CAI at the same time I installed the upper and lower manifolds).
