Default hp rant

ok, is it just me or is enyone else sick of the way they rate the power of cars? bhp, wtf is that?!?! it's a bs system. I mean bhp is just the power the engine is putting out, not the car. i think the advertised hp and trq. should be what the tires are putting to the ground not what the engine is putting on the stand. I just think it makes more sense.

bhp=brake horsepower (same thing as crank). Manufacturers rate engines at a specific bhp because they often use the same engine in different cars and they would have very different whp (wheel hp) numbers for the same engine.

It makes the car sound faster to non-enthusiasts if you say it has 225bhp vs. 190whp.
