ok, is it just me or is enyone else sick of the way they rate the power of cars? bhp, wtf is that?!?! it's a bs system. I mean bhp is just the power the engine is putting out, not the car. i think the advertised hp and trq. should be what the tires are putting to the ground not what the engine is putting on the stand. I just think it makes more sense.
haha .. well i thought when you aid HP you ment what was rated at the crank.... when you said BHP its what was rated at the ground.. and thats about what i have gone by for many a year..
Ya know i never really knew what bhp meant either, everytime i read it somehwere i just kindof skipped over thinkin i knew what it meant..... What does it really mean ?
bhp=brake horsepower (same thing as crank). Manufacturers rate engines at a specific bhp because they often use the same engine in different cars and they would have very different whp (wheel hp) numbers for the same engine.
