10,000...wow. That will get you a damn fast car. Look for a clean 5.0 that is as close to stock as you can get, and with low miles. There are a lot of them out there. Just don't get in a hurry.

take your time and find a good one that is preferably newer than 88, thats when ford switched to mass air, its easer to mod.
it should be really easy with 10,000. i see really really nice ones on craigslist for less that 4g's all the time

For 10K you could get a really nice fox body.
I would suggest looking at a low milage 93 SVT Cobra.
For what your friend has to spend it should be no problem.
That was the rarest & fastes 5.0 besides the 93 Cobra R.
