My Power Steering on my 91 GT is very noisy, I was wondering if anybody knew of a way to get rid of this. I've been told that all Ford stock Power Steering pumps where noisy like that back then. Is there a replacement one I could change it for?

sorry to say but thats just how all ford powersterring boxes sound, i have 79 cobra, noisy, my freind has a 90 truck and an old mustang that are noisy as well, dont know of any replacments either.

Flush your power steering fluid and see if the noise goes away, if it don't then replace the pump. It will be quiet after that.

That sucks !! You'd think that there would be an after Market Pump that you could buy.... That noise mess's up my nice Idling sound!! [:@]

i hate that, my 86 is the same way, people keep telling me to check my fluid like they know what there talking about. o well

Well usually low fluid is what causes noisy ps pumps/ but like I said noisy pumps are caused by dirty / foamy old ps fluid or a bad ps pump.
