Anyone know about APC gauges?

I've been trying to get info on APC water temp and oil pressure gauges, but can't find much. Does anyone know the answers to these questions:

1. Are these gauges electric or mechanical?
2. Are these gauges any good?

It's sort of strange because every other gauge for sale on the net lists whether it's mechanical or electric, yet for some reason, APC does not devulge this information anywhere.

I have never heard anything good about APC stuff, IMO go with Autometer.
