Thinking of parting out my car
 

I'm thinking of stripping my car and just selling the shell and parts off it. The car recently took a turn for the worst. The trans literally blew up once I fixed the engine and started it up, the oil pump split in too. When I took the engine apart I found pieces of rings missing from pistons and a chunk missing from once cylinder wall at the bottom. They weren't in the pan either. So I now have a car with no motor or trans that are salavagable and only thing really invested in the shell is subframes and torque box renforcements. I figure I could get at least 2k from parting it out and selling the shell, I have racing seats, real 4 eye black interior, corbeau seats, custom chromoly driveshaft loop, drag springs, strange shocks struts, msd 6al, flaming river rack setup and a whole bunch of other stuff I can't think of. Do you think its worth parting out? I figure building a new engine to make 300rwhp and new tranny setup will cost me about 7k and it will take me to long to save that much up. I think I'd be better just parting the car out. What do you guys think?

I wish, last time he let me drive his car was back in July and I pulled into a buddys driveway and scraped the bottom of the chin spoiler. I haven't been allowed to drive it since.

Not planning on buying anything else right now. I have a toyota tercel to cruise around in and get me back and forth. I might buy something else come spring but I just don't have the money right now to buy another car.
